Ozomatli, Pee Wee and Cristian Castro will headline “Voces Unidas Por America,” a July 17 concert in Albuquerque, N.M., intended to protest Arizona’s immigration enforcement law. The free, ticketed event will take place at the Sandia Casino & Resort Amphitheater during the 81st national convention of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). The concert is being produced by LatinPointe, which has produced awards shows and galas including Univision’s Premios Deportes, ABC’s ALMA Awards, the Tejano Music Awards and the Latino Inaugural Gala. Artists will create original songs for the event, according to LatinPointe CEO David Chavez. Latino actors, athletes and politicians are also expected at the event to protest the law, which takes effect July 29.
