U.K. magazine publisher Future is to mark the one-off British leg of Ozzfest in September with a special edition of Metal Hammer.

The special edition, Metal Hammer: Presents Ozzfest, is in stores from Aug. 16 priced £7.99 ($12.32) and it will be available in mass merchants. International customers can order it from the magazine's website.

The magazine, published in addition to the regular monthly edition of Metal Hammer, was arranged with Sharon Osbourne Management and will have a 30,000 print run. It is described as the first-ever officially endorsed magazine from Ozzy Osbourne, and the package also includes a metal badge, posters and mouse mat.

As well as featuring a 17-page interview with Ozzy Osbourne, the 132-page magazine will serve as the official companion to the Sept. 18 O2 Arena Ozzfest show. It will be on sale at the show. The line-up includes Ozzy Osbourne, Korn and Murderdolls.

Chris Ingham, group publisher for Future's Classic Rock and Metal Hammer brands, says the magazine is a collaboration with promoter Kilimanjaro, Sony Music and Sharon Osbourne Management. The package will also include online access to a Sony Music competition. Sony is reissuing Ozzy Osbourne's first two solo albums and the magazine will help promote the releases.

In April, Classic Rock published a premium special on Slash that included the exclusive release of his "Slash" album in partnership with U.K. licensee Roadrunner. The standard album was issued one month after the magaine.

Ingham says Future is exploring other options for such releases. "There are lots of bands asking the right sort of questions," he says.

Meanwhile, music talent show "The X Factor" is to get a spin-off weekly magazine to coincide with the new U.K. series in September. It will be published by Haymarket Network under license from FremantleMedia Enterprises and Syco Entertainment.
