TICKETING COMPANY SHOWCLIX PROFILED
-- A profile of online ticketing company ShowClix has some helpful information: it has a staff of 17; estimated 2010 revenue is $8 million; it has received $350,000 in investment from Innovation Works; and the company closed a $1 million Series A round in September. ShowClix provides event ticketing services to event organizers, promoters and venues. It offers two levels of service. For small, general admission events, ShowClix charges 75 cents and 2.5% per ticket. Larger events have different fees. The Business Times article says the company’s cut ranges from 7% to 15% and promoters can absorb the fees or pass them along to customers. (Pittsburgh Business Times)
