Music industry groups in Brazil and Argentina have actively targeted infringing sites, shutting down 12 Internet sites that offered unauthorized musical content during the period between July 13 and August 10.

In Brazil, the Association of Music Producers (APCM) shut down nine blogs that featured 6,900 links. In Argentina, the Chamber of Record Producers shut down two sites small sites, including soydelmonton.com.ar, which offered more than 800 full CDs for download. IFPI Latin America also said it had shut down realtalkreggaeton.net, a reggaeton destination that had 40,000 daily page views.
