ASCAP's Rhythm & Soul Team, along with Jermaine Dupri and his Ocean's 7, teamed up to celebrate ASCAP's 2010 VMA nominees at a pre-VMA party, sponsored by Belvedere Vodka. The event was held September 10 in Beverly Hills, Cailf for a large crowd of industry insiders, celebrities and tastemakers, who mingled with some the biggest names in urban music. Music was provided by DJ Chuck Barrett and included a special guest DJ set by Jermaine Dupri.

Singer/songwriter Jesse McCartney is getting ready to release his fourth album, which he says will have a similar sound to his last record, "Departure" but with more of an R&B influence. McCartney’s record is due out in October. He is pictured here on the red carpet at ASCAP’s event.
