Juan Luis Guerra and Alejandro Sanz will be honored tonight (Sept. 29) by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) for their accomplishments in “Arts” and “Vision” respectively as part of the annual Hispanic Heritage Awards.

Now in their 24th year, the HHF honors notable Latino leaders during a celebration of “Hispanic Excellence, Accomplishments and Promise” taking place this year at Washington DC’s Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Other honorees include actress América Ferrera, Congressman Luis Gutiérrez (D-IL) and Jaime Escalante getting a posthumous award for Math and Science.

The evening will be punctuated by performances from several Latin stars, including Mexican pop star Belinda, pianist Arthur Hanlon, Cuban singer/songwriter JenCarlos Canela and tropical star Luis Enrique.
