Artist using the DIY marketing and promotional platform ReverbNation now have the chance to get their music licensed for movies, TV, videogames and other types of productions thanks to a deal with APM Music.

APM is the production library joint venture between EMI Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing Group. The deal with ReverbNation allows artists using ReverbNation to submit their music to be included in the APM library. Tracks must first pass through ReverbNation’s initial review process, and subsequently be reviewed by APM music directors to determine suitability.

ReverbNation will send out invitations to participate in the program on an ongoing basis to what it says are “qualified” artists, defined as “those for whom ReverbNation has statistical data about their fan base, song plays, and more, that indicate a fit with APM’s clients.” Details here.

ReverbNation it has the partnership has already resulted in placements with K-Mart, Chicos, the Boston Red Sox and the PGA.
