Pandora launched a mobile advertising initiative designed to attract small and medium-sized businesses in local markets nationwide.

Advertising the core of the Pandora business model, and local advertising (such as small/medium-sized business owners) is a key sector it needs to attract in order to compete with terrestrial radio.

The offer is made possible through a partnership with AdReady, a digital display advertising firm. AdReady creates a mobile banner ad for participating advertisers at no additional cost, which appear on the Pandora mobile app.

Pandora has more than 65 million registered users in the U.S. The company say half of its daily listening activity comes via its various smartphone apps.
