The Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins, Randy Newman, Carole Bayer Sager and K'naan, among others, will appear at Songs of Hope VI, a live music and silent auction event to be held Nov. 4 at Los Angeles' Esquire House to raise funds for cancer treatment and education organization City of Hope.

"With this, our sixth Songs of Hope event, the total we will have raised for all these events has reached over $1.5 million for lifesaving research, treatment and education programs at City of Hope," David Renzer, Songs of Hope event chair and chairman/CEO of Universal Music Publishing Group, said in a statement.

Songs of Hope VI will feature intimate performances by the Doobie Brothers, Loggins and K'naan. The evening's silent auction will include autographed merchandise, a walk-on role in Jamie Foxx's upcoming movie "Skank Robbers" and signed copies of such film scores as "Avatar," "Black Swan," "The Town" and "Inception."

The benefit will also recognize the careers of songwriters and composers. The awards will include the Clive Davis "Legends in Songwriting" Award; the Martin Bandier "Vanguard" Award; the Electronic Arts Composer Award; the MusicNotes "Golden Note" Award; and the "American Heritage" Award.
