Former Linkin Park manager Rob McDermott has reopened his music management firm Mad Mac Entertainment. The company will be based in Los Angeles.

Mad Mac Entertainment, which was originally founded in 2006, will represent such artists as Hellyeah, Wayne Static, The Audition, Jesse Thomas, Gemini Syndrome and Amusement Parks on Fire.

"I am excited to re-enter the independent management landscape doing what I love -- helping artists realize their visions with fresh ideas and guidance," McDermott said in a statement. "My mission for Mad Mac Entertainment is to deliver the constant innovation and personal service to my artists that I feel is missing from our current industry."

The move follows McDermott's three-year stint as president of the music division at the Collective, which began in 2008. During that time, he helped lend creative direction to such acts as Slash, the Plain White T's, Big Boi, Avenged Sevenfold and Alanis Morrisette.
