The Beatles have sold more than 5 million track downloads and 1 million albums worldwide since the group's catalog became available on iTunes November 16, according to a joint statement from iTunes and EMI.

Of the track total, 3.6 million have been scanned in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The best selling Beatles song worldwide is "Here Comes The Sun," which is also the No. 2 best selling Beatles track in the U.S., with 181,000 scans. In the U.S., "Let It Be" is the best-selling Beatles tune, with scans of nearly 204,000 units.

Other Beatle songs over the 100,000 mark are: "Hey Jude" (136,000 downloads), "Yesterday" (nearly 129,000), "In My Life" (119,000) and "Come Together" (111,000), according to Nielsen SoundScan.

In digital albums, "Abbey Road" is the No. 1 selling album worldwide and the U.S. In the States, the LP has nearly 40,000 scans, followed by the White Album at 28,000 units, and "Sgt. Pepper" and "1967-1970," each with approximately 25,000 scans.
