While most of the Social 50 chart is rather sleepy this week -- there are
only four re-entries and zero debuts -- the most exciting news comes from the woman who just debuted at No. 1 the Billboard 200 albums chart: Adele. She vaults 37-23 on the Social list with a 32% increase in new week-over-week Facebook fans and a 57% jump in Twitter followers.

No doubt the excitement stirred by the release of her big-selling "21" set powered the social buzz on the singer, sparking her rise on the Social tally.

The Social 50 ranks the most active artists on the world's leading social networking sites -- YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and iLike -- using a formula blending weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with weekly artist page views and weekly song plays. (Vevo makes its debut as a contributor to the Social 50's tabulation this week.)

The top three slots of the chart remain steady -- Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Rihanna hold at Nos. 1-3, respectively. Eminem is up one to No. 4, Katy Perry climbs two to No. 5 and the Black Eyed Peas also rises a pair of slots to No. 6. Akon slips one to No. 7, Shakira rises three to No. 8 and Taylor Swift slides 13-9. Rounding out the top 10 is the non-moving Linkin Park at No. 10.

Re-entering the list is Kanye West at No. 36, Maroon 5 (No. 44), Wisin & Yandel (No. 47) and Thirty Seconds to Mars (No. 48).
