Puerto Rican Latin urban music producer and composer Gocho, who's worked with the likes of Don Omar, Angel y Khriz and Daddy Yankee, has signed with Venemusic to release his first solo album.
"Mi Musica" (My Music) is slated for release on March 8. Although Gocho (real name: José Angel Torres) is signed to Venemusic as a license, he has a revenue-sharing deal in place with the label that includes live shows and merchandising, among others.
Gocho's first single is "Dándole." A remix featuring Jowell and Omega, the song currently at No. 24 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart and at No. 33 on the Latin digital songs chart.
Wise, another major urban composer, is also slated to release a solo album in 2011. Wise is signed to Denizard/Mia Musa, the label singer Olga Tañón has with her husband and manager Billy Denizard. Wise's album, "Wise 2020," will likely be released sometime this summer.
A first single, "Volver a Tí," featuring Tañón and Lenny Santos from Aventura, was serviced to radio Thursday.
