P!nk Powers To Record-Tying No. 1s On Mainstream Top 40, Adult Top 40

With twin ascensions to No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Top 40 charts, P!nk matches the marks for most leaders on each Nielsen BDS-based radio airplay ranking.

"F**kin' Perfect" lifts 2-1 to become P!nk's seventh No. 1 on Mainstream Top 40, tying Rihanna for most toppers in the chart's 18-year history. P!nk passes Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga, each with six No. 1s.

P!nk first reached the Mainstream Top 40 summit with "Lady Marmalade," with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim and Mya, in 2001. Prior to her new No. 1, she subsequently reigned with "Don't Let Me Get Me" (2002), "U + Ur Hand," "Who Knew" (2007), "So What" (2008) and "Raise Your Glass" (2010).

She has also peaked at No. 2 with four other tracks.

"F**kin' Perfect" and "Raise Your Glass" are previously unreleased songs from P!nk's "Greatest Hits ... So Far," which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and has sold 526,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The set is the only best-of compilation to yield multiple Mainstream Top 40 No. 1s. Only one other such album generated even one chart leader: "Again," from Lenny Kravitz's "Greatest Hits," ruled for three weeks in 2001.

(While P!nk matches Rihanna's mark for most Mainstream Top 40 No. 1s, the latter star rewrites another chart record. Rihanna passes Carey for most Mainstream Top 40 top 10s, as "S&M" whips up a 14-9 advance to become her 18th top 10. She first reached the top tier with "Pon De Replay" (No. 2) in July 2005. Carey has collected her 17 top 10s between 1993 and 2009).

On Adult Top 40, P!nk similarly ties the record for most No. 1s, as "F**kin' Perfect" becomes her fifth chart leader (2-1), pulling her even with Nickelback for most No. 1s in the chart's 15-year history.

Though charting on Adult Top 40 since 2001, P!nk didn't top the tally for the first time until "Who Knew" reached the apex in 2007. "So What," "Sober" and "Raise Your Glass" each since returned her to No. 1.

All charts, including Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Top 40, will be refreshed Thursday (March 17) on Billboard.biz.
