Gloria Estefan is taking to Twitter to tell fans about her new album and collaboration with rapper/producer/singer Pharrell.
"I can't tell u how much I've enjoyed working with @NeRdArMy!," Estefan wrote, referring to Pharrell. "It's truly been a magical experience and a wonderfully natural process."
Estefan's latest studio project is her first English album since "Unwrapped," which was released in October 2003.
The Miami-based songstress tweets often from the recording studio and even dishes about the impact of her co-producer.
"U think maybe Pharrell is influencing me?" Estefan wrote and posted a photo, wearing a sideways cap. "Lol! At The Moon with his thinking cap on."
The concept for the album is dance-inspired, according to Estefan, who has publicly discussed the new set, which is scheduled for release later this year.
On Hot Latin Songs, Estefan has 14 No. 1s, the third most all-time behind Enrique Iglesias' 22 and Luis Miguel's 16. On Top Latin Albums, "Mi Tierra" spent 58 weeks at No. 1, first reached in July of 1993, the longest-running in chart-history.
