Former Warner Bros. VP Jack Isquith Joins Slacker

Former Warner Bros. Records senior VP of digital music Jack Isquith-and frequent Billboard.biz guest contributor-has joined Internet radio service Slacker.

Isquith was named senior VP of strategic development, focusing on content development and monetization. It's a timely hire for Slacker, as the company preps a long-promised on-demand streaming tier to its existing personalized radio options.

At Warner, Isquith oversaw the strategic development and monetization of all digital content, including iPhone and iPad app development (such as the Linkin Park "8-Bit Rebellion" app). He left the company as part of an upper-management shakeup last fall. He has also held senior content and strategy positions at AOL Music and CDNow.

After WBR, Isquith started the Digital Music Insider blog, where he commented daily about the intersection of music and technology. Today's post features an interview where Isquith discusses his new role with BigChampagne's Eric Garland.
