Tim Chang, partner at Norwest Venture Partners, is leaving to join venture capital group Mayfield Fund. His new role will be that of managing director, according to Fortune.
Chang focuses on gaming, digital media, social media and mobile. He's been a frequent speaker and contributor to Billboard events and stories, and is slated as a speaker for Billboard's upcoming FutureSound conference in San Francisco, Nov. 17 -18.
A music fan, Chang also plays with the actively gigging group Black Mahal, which incidentally also features VSC Public Relations president Vijay Chattha.
Chang's investments include Badgeville (a rewards-based social firm used by Universal Music Group), and mobile game powerhouse ngmoco.
