Interscope/Geffen/A&M Executive Vice President Ted Mico, one of the company's key digital executives, has taken another job and will be leaving the company within the next couple of weeks, a source confirmed to Billboard.biz Friday. Mico had been with Interscope since 2007.
It was unclear whether Mico will be replaced, but many of his duties are expected to be taken on by new EVP and Chief Marketing Officer Jeremy Summers, who starts at the company on Monday, the source said. Summers joined Interscope afte 17 years at Universal Music Canada.
Mico has reportedly taken a job at MixedMediaWorks, the source said. The company was described in a memo reportedly circulated by Mico as a "media solutions company" with a focus on investments and consulting for "brands, technology, and media companies." At press time, Mico had not responded to Billboard.biz's request for comment.
