In the wake of last week's layoffs, Clear Channel continues to lay out its national programming strategy with the announcement of a new Brand Management Team, which includes a Brand Manager and Brand Coordinator who will serve as "in-hour format experts" for the company.
Their duties will include working on the company's national and regional Premium Choice content, consulting with select stations in the Clear Channel chain, developing format-related contest opportunities, marketing initiatives and research projects.
Darren Davis, Clear Channel's Senior Vice President and General Manager of National Programming Platforms, who will lead the Brand Management Team says, "Our Brand Managers are an unprecedented team of the top-performing format experts. They will offer a level of expertise, experience and talent to Clear Channel that is unavailable anywhere else."
This announcement follows last week's company-wide "reduction in force" that trimmed programming staffs at many small and medium market stations to clear the way for a greater emphasis on national and regional syndicated programming.
In addition to the appointees listed below, Clear Channel also named Kelly Doherty as Director of Imaging for the National Programming Platforms. She will oversee Clear Channel's creative imaging efforts for national programming and promotions.
