Horacio "Gamexane" Villafañe, the guitarist and founder of Argentine punk band Todos Tus Muertos, passed away Nov. 23 following complications from a "digestive hemorrhage," according to published reports. He was 48 years old. Villafañe fell ill during a tour in Mexico earlier this month and was finally flown to Argentina where he was hospitalized and eventually connected to a respirator before passing away.
Villafañe founded Todos Tus Muertos in the 1980s along with singer Fidel Nadal, bassist Felix Gutierrez and drummer Cristian Ruiz. After Nadal left the group in 2000, Villafañe and Gutiérrez re-launched the band with Pablo Molina on vocals, Christian Fabrizio on drums and German Alvarez on keyboards and last year released the album "Crisis mundial." The group suspended its Mexican dates after Villafañe fell ill.
