Onesheet Mobile, like many tech companies, introduced it's latest product initiative during SXSWi
If you were busy before, during and after SXSW, you may have missed some news items during the annual SXSW press release barrage from Onesheet, Twitter and Gracenote, SoundCloud and Shapeways, Artist Growth and others.
Of course, you'd be forgiven if you missed some of the news that came out last week. Time spent in Austin in March can be a news blackout period due to meetings, panels and general lack of time for reading the industry's goings on. And that's not to mention the blackout periods during travel days, time spent preparing to leave and time spent catching up and recuperating once back home.
Now that you're rested and back to your computer, here's a recap of some of the news you may have missed:
-- Onesheet launched Onesheet Mobile, a premium feature in Onesheet's $5-per-month Pro package that generates a mobile version of an artist's Onesheet page. If a fan saves the Onesheet page to their home screen, an icon will be created that launches Onesheet mobile pages as it would a mobile app. You may have also missed that Onesheet was named Best Bootstrapped Music Startup at SXSW Accelerator.

-- Twitter is using Gracenote to make it easier for artists to request an authenticated account. "Music has always been one of the most popular topics on Twitter," said Omid Ashtari, the head of sports and entertainment on the Twitter media team. "This agreement with Gracenote will help us expand the number of musicians verified on Twitter, to make it easier than ever to find and follow your favorite artists."

-- Music and physical activity are becoming more intertwined. Nike released its FuelBand API at Backplane's SXSW hackathon. FuelBand is a waterproof wristband that measures a person's physical activity and syncs them with an iPod Touch or iPhone.
-- SoundCloud has partnered with 3-D printer Shapeways to give its users custom iPhone cases. Using SoundCloud's API, Shapeways can turn any soundwave - a song, the human voice - into a personalized iPhone case. It may be difficult to imagine, but the back of the case actually depicts the soundwave.

-- Media licensing company Audiosocket launched Audiosocket U, a service for student filmmakers to license music on its hosted music platform for as little as $5.

-- 7digital unveiled a major upgrade Android app as well as updates to its iOS apps. The new Android app uses the Android Beam Near Field Communication technology so that 7digital users can share music playlists by touching their Android 4.0 smartphones or tablets together.

-- Artist Growth announced a partnership with BMI to allow BMI artists to register for royalties from any mobile device. In additions, BMI members get a free six-month trial of the Artist Growth platform that puts artist career tools onto mobile devices.

-- FanFueled unveiled FanFueled Engage, a marketing network that gives fans the chance to earn points that can be redeemed for special prizes and experiences. FanFueled is best known for its social ticketing platform that turns fans into promoters.

-- Rock City Club announced a partnership with Slacker that will create a Rock City Club artist channel dedicated Slacker at the personalized Internet radio service. Rock City Club is an online social network for independent musicians.
