The most important and influential Latin rock band worldwide, Maná, joined STAPLES Center and concert promoter AEG Live executives Thursday, April 19 prior to their record setting concert for a press conference to celebrate becoming the artist to play the most concerts ever in the thirteen year history of the venue.

Maná has become massively influential throughout their 20-plus-year career, having sold more than 25 million albums in 40 countries. Their latest record, 2011's Drama Y Luz, debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard Latin charts (Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums) and spent nine weeks at the top.

Present and taking part in the the press conference were Maná, manager Angelo Medina, Rebeca Leon, Vice President Latin Talent for AEG Live, Maná band members Sergio Vallin, Fher Olvera, Alex Gonzáles and Juan Calleros, Lee Zeidman, Sr. Vice President & General Manager for the STAPLES Center and Randy Phillips, President & CEO of AEG Live.

The previous record was held by Britney Spears with eight sold out concerts at the Staple Center.

This week at the Billboard Latin Music Awards and Conference, all four members of Maná will sit for an intimate interview for the first time in their career, discussing their music process, tours and the state of the music industry.
