He has 12 certified gold albums and nine platinum or multi-platinum albums -- five of which have been #1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart and another 14 landing in the Top 10.

This summer Yoakam will release his first new studio album in seven years, a record he produced and which includes collaborations with Kid Rock and Beck.

An accomplished actor, Yoakam has appeared in more than 30 feature films, including "Wedding Crashers," David Fincher's "Panic Room," the Academy-Award winning film "Sling Blade" (for which he was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast), "Four Christmases" with Reese Witherspoon, and Tommy Lee Jones' Cannes Film Festival award-winning, "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada."
