David Guetta Re-Signs With EMI, 'The Best Team on the Planet'

After eleven years on the roster, French electronic artist, DJ, producer and collaborator to the stars David Guetta has extended his contract with EMI Music, the label group announced today.

With more than 8 million albums and 30 million singles sold worldwide, the two-time Grammy winner is considered the most successful electronic artist in the world to date, having worked with such superstars as Rihanna, will.i.am and Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Jessie J and Avicii, among others. His latest album, Nothing But The Beat, has sold over 2.7 million copies and 14 million singles worldwide and has gone platinum in 15 different countries.

Guetta has been described by Billboard as a producer who "dramatically altered the sound of top 40 radio" in the U.S., and while his sales numbers are impressive, his international following is mind-blowing, boasting more than 33 million Facebook fans, 5 million followers on Twitter, and almost 1.5 billion online video views.
