Streaming Music Sale Up, To Surpass Physical Sales, But Is It Enough?
Many heralded the news that digital sales are up 40% in 2012 and are on course to outpace physical sales by 2015, according to research by Boston-based Strategy Analytics Inc. But a Wall St. Journal blog post noted (as many others in the past have, too) that the increase in streaming revenue won't replace the loss of revenue from physical sales, especially in Western Europe where physical product haa long held sway.
