Exec Who Led Zune Launch Exits Microsoft
Microsoft's J Allard, a key figure behind Microsoft's Zune launch, has taken over full responsibilities for the struggling digital music device and service in the wake of the departing corporate VP Bryan Lee.
Lee announced his departure Wednesday (Jan. 31), citing personal reasons. He led the Entertainment Business division, which oversaw the Xbox videogame console launch, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Microsoft's IPTV software and, most recently, the Zune.
