Michael Block has been named executive VP of sales for Sony BMG Music Entertainment's Commercial Music Group. Block is based in New York and reports to John Ingrassia, president of the Commercial Music Group.

Block rose through the Sony ranks, starting as a college rep and ultimately rising to his most previous position of executive VP of sales for the Sony Music Group.
