Universal Music Group International will announce today (Jan. 7) the appointment of Tony Harlow as senior VP of international marketing, Billboard.biz has learned.

Reporting to Max Hole, executive VP of UMGI, Harlow will be tasked with all UMGI's international marketing activities, overseeing the London-headquartered marketing team.

Harlow, until recently V2 Music Group CEO, becomes the highest ranked executive to have made the transition to the music major from V2, which UMGI acquired in the summer of 2007.
