Obama Nominates Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator

President Barack Obama has nominated Victoria A. Espinel to be the U.S. intellectual property enforcement coordinator, a post created last October when the U.S. Congress passed the "Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property Act of 2008."
The law is aimed at reinforcing U.S. efforts to stop movie, music, drugs and software piracy. The intellectual property enforcement coordinator is housed in the Office of Management and Budget, and the nominee has to be confirmed by the U.S.
