Neil Foster, co-president of Sony Music Entertainment in Canada, has announced his resignation. He will return to the United States to join Columbia/Epic in an operating capacity.

Foster's co-president, Shane Carter, will run the Canadian operation as president.

"I look forward to this new challenge while reflecting fondly and proudly on this chapter of my career with our Canadian company," Foster said in an e-mailed message.
