Universal Music Japan Appoints New CFO

Universal Music Japan has appointed Tomotaka Hoshiai to the position of CFO, replacing Nobuko Suzuki, who will become vice chairman of the company. Hoshiai's appointment will take affect on Jan. 1, 2010.
Hoshiai, 51, is new to the music industry but a veteran of multi-national firms in Japan. He moves over from the chocolatier Godiva, which he joined in 2002. Hoshiai was CFO and financial director of Godiva Japan.
