Lonestar lead singer Richie McDonald will leave the band at the end of 2007 to pursue a solo career. Additionally, the band has parted ways with BNA Records, their label home since 1995.

The band's remaining members -- Dean Sams, Michael Britt and Keech Rainwater -- are looking for a new lead singer and record label.

The group has scored 18 top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, including nine No. 1s. Their biggest success came via the single "Amazed, which spent eight weeks atop the country airplay chart in 1999 and also peaked at No. 2 on the AC chart.

Their albums have amassed three gold and three platinum or multiplatinum
certifications from the RIAA.

The band is currently touring in support of their latest album "Mountains."
