Lucinda Williams, Patty Griffin and the Avett Brothers lead the way with three nominations each for the Americana Music Association's 2007 Honors and Awards, which will be held November 1 in Nashville. The nominations were announced June 17 by artists Elizabeth Cook and Webb Wilder.

The Avett Brothers received nods for album of the year, new and emerging artist and duo group of the year. Williams and Griffin were each nominated for album, artist and song of the year. Joe Ely and Todd Snider also picked up artist of the year nods.

Chosen by members of the AMA, eligibility is based on work released during a 12 month time period from June 1, 2006 through May 31, 2007.

The winners will be announced on November 1 at the historic Ryman Auditorium during the 6th annual Americana Music Association's Honors and Awards Show.
