The Academy of Country Music has appointed Lisa Lee and Brooke Primero to lead its newly created in-house marketing, publicity and creative team. Both will be based in Encino, Calif., and report directly to ACM executive director, Bob Romero.

Lee has been named senior director of creative development, while Primero steps in as senior director of publicity and marketing. The duo will be charged with advertising, publicity, and promotions relating to the ACM Awards. The team will also focus on gaining consistent media exposure for the ACM.

Prior to joining the ACM, Lee was West Coast news editor and L.A. correspondent for CMT News. Primero comes to the ACM from Bragman Nyman Cafarelli, where she was senior director of the special events team.
