Shake-Up At BNA Records

Changes are taking place at Sony BMG Nashville's BNA Records as director of national promotion George Briner exits and is replaced by Southeast regional promoter Buffy Cooper.

Briner, who joined BNA in Nov. 2006, has previously served at the Nashville divisions of Dreamworks, Warner Bros. and Giant, among other labels.

Cooper, who has worked at Columbia Nashville and Epic Nashville, among other labels, joined BNA in May 2006.

Meanwhile, Curb/Asylum Northeast regional promoter R.J. Meacham joins BNA for a similar position. Meacham, who has also served at Monument Records, replaces Jean Williams, who recently exited.

A replacement for Cooper is expected to be named soon.
