Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, reigning Country Music Association new artist of the year award winner Lady Antebellum, country star Trace Adkins, rising star and "Dancing with the Stars" sensation Julianne Hough and rising star Miranda Lambert are the first artists announced for the 2009 CMA Music Festival, which will be held June 11-14 in Nashville.

In related news, the CMA has announced that for the first time fans will enjoy free access to concerts at Riverfront Park and at a new location, Nashville's Public Square. The Public Square concerts will include performances by some of Nashville's top non-country acts.

Nightly concerts at LP Field, the home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans, and access to other CMA Music Festival events will still require a ticket. Information is available at CMAfest.com.

The 38-year-old CMA Music Festival, which started as Fan Fair in 1972, features four days of concerts, autograph signings, family activities and more.

In 2008, the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau estimated that the CMA Music Festival generated $22 million in direct visitor spending.
