Darel Decounter, longtime keyboard player for the John Anderson Band, died of natural causes at his home in White House, Tenn., on April 30.

Decounter was raised in Good Hope, Ill., and moved to Nashville 20 years ago to pursue his career in music. He played keyboard, and was a backup vocalist for the John Anderson Band for 16 years, and also played with such artists as Bill Anderson, Jerry Reed and Randy Travis.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cate Decounter, a brother and three sisters. Funeral Services will be held May 5 at White House Memorial Gardens.

The John Anderson Band will serve as pallbearers.
