- EMI Records Nashville added three staffers: Chuck Swaney (director of promotion, mid/southwest), Trudie Daniell (director of promotion, southeast) and Ron Bradley (director of promotion, West Coast). They will report to both senior VP of promotion Steve Hodges and EMI Records Nashville VP of promotion Angela Lange.

- Country Radio Broadcasters president Mike Culotta has finalized the CRB board of directors for 2010-2011 with three one-year term appointments. This year’s appointees: Johnny Chiang (OM, Cox Radio Houston), Dan Halyburton (president, RadioTime) and Clarence Spalding (president, Spalding Entertainment).

- Mark Chesnutt will play several shows at U.S. Air Force bases in South Korea in April. He's set to perform at Camp Casey April 8, Camp Humphreys April 9, and Kunsan Air Base April 10.

- The Steep Canyon Rangers are prepping for their second national tour with actor-comedian-musician Steve Martin. The tour runs April 19 through July 30 and visits the Detroit, Milwaukee, St Louis, Austin, New Orleans, Minneapolis and Newport, R.I., among other cities.

- Marty Stuart has signed with Sugar Hill Records and is set to release a new studio album this summer.
