Gary Allan has signed on as a panelist at the inaugural Billboard Country Summit June 7-8 at the Hermitage Hotel in Nashville. Allan joins a group of live-talent executives for “Country Road,” sponsored by Bridgestone Arena and moderated by Billboard executive director of content and programming for touring and live entertainment Ray Waddell.

The discussion is expected to center on the changing dynamics of the concert business. Other panelists participating with Allan include Creative Artists Agency agent John Huie, Paradigm Agency agent/Nashville office head Curt Motley, Live Nation country music president Brian O’Connell, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment VP/agent Greg Oswald and Triangle Talent CEO Dave Snowden.

Co-sponsored by the Country Music Assn. in advance of the CMA Music Festival, the conference will also explore the changing role of record companies, management and music publishing, among other subjects. Tim McGraw, Big Kenny, Blake Shelton and Martina McBride (see On the Charts, this page) will all take part in panels or keynote Q&A sessions.
