Who is the one up and coming country artist to keep an eye on and why?
Me, Big Kenny, ’cause we have a very innovative and creative team that can turn on a time, without having to ask anyone for permission. Life's an adventure. Let's get Jiggy!

What's the last album you bought?
Tinariwen Aman Iman, “Water Is Life,” it's the Saharan Blues!

What's the last show you saw?
The last big show was U2 with Muse. Amazing to say to least.

My favorite Nashville venue to see a band is _______.
12th and Porter. I just love the vibe, and I left so much sweat on that stage in the day.

Do you use Twitter? If so, how often?
Yes, I use Twitter, I think it's cool. Time varies with the availability of my schedule.

What digital tools work best for your business?
There are lots of great tools out there. Facebook is pretty evident; Wordpress is looking greatly innovative.

What revenue stream is going to eventually replace CDs?
I believe it will be a combination of a lot of things as models change and settle in. Other than that, I think my Dr. Coco D Nutt, "I'm Just A Squirrel Trying to Get Nutt" - singing toys are gonna be huge.

What's the most innovative business idea you've seen in the last year?
I believe the ultimate business idea that is happening is artist direct to fan. The Internet allows a direct link like we have never had the opportunity before, and the tools are being built daily to improve it. This will ultimately let the cream rise to the top. Artists being able to spend more time creating and less time asking permission.

At this moment in time, what most worries you about the country music business?
The thing that most worries me about the current climate in country music industry is the amount of money being spent on traditional promotion. We need to extend our promotion and marketing to expand music.

What encourages you most about the business?
Personally, the innovation and creativity has never been higher and I believe opportunities abound for more diversified artists. The more talents and skill sets you have, the greater you can expand. It's "Katie bar the door” - out with the old and in with the new. No rules!
