Imagem held its U.S. launch party on September 15 at its New York office, the newest addition to their growing worldwide presence, which includes spots in the Netherlands, U.K., Germany and Belgium. While the office initially housed Rodgers & Hammerstein, it now also contains Imagem’s classical division, Boosey & Hawkes and its new contemporary, classic rock and pop division Imagem Music. In addition to Imagem staffers from across its various divisions, the party hosted some of the company’s best known composers and songwriters including composer John Adams, whose “Nixon in China” opera is being performed on various dates throughout February 2011 at New York’s Metropolitan Opera; Stephen Schwartz, who has written such musicals as "Wicked;" Charles Strouse, composer of "Bye Bye Birdie;" Joe DiPietro, Tony Award winning co-author and lyricist for “Memphis.”
