the Gang with Ray

The Kentucky HeadHunters and Black Stone Cherry hung out at the legendary Practice House in Metcalfe County, Ky., with Billboard's Ray Waddell yesterday. At rear, from left, are Richard Young with the HeadHunters, Waddell, and Blackstone Cherry's Jon Lawhon. In front, from left, are BSC's John Fred Young, his uncle Fred Young of the Headhunters, BSC's Ben Wells and Chris Robertson, and the HeadHunter's Doug Phelps and Greg Martin. Roadrunner's Black Stone Cherry just wrapped up a stint on the Carnival of Madness tour with Alter Bridge, Theory of a Deadman, Adelitas Way, and Emphatic, and are about to embark on a U.K./European tour with Alter Bridge. Their current single "Blame it on the Boom Boom" is making big noise at rock radio. The HeadHunters will drop "Dixie Lullabies," their first album for Red Dirt Music Company, on Oct. 18, Waddell's birthday, with debut single "Great Acoustics" just released. The HeadHunters play all over the place, all the time.
