Former Cycle Sluts From Hell singer Goddess Mary Raffaele gave model-turned-rocker/author Bebe Buell a priceless introduction before Buell took over the stage at New York's Hiro Ballroom on Oct. 12. Delivering a humorous, somewhat ad-libbed confessional that chronicled her teenage "rivalry" with Buell for '70s teen idol Todd Rundgren's heart, Raffaele had the crowd in stitches as she deadpanned how "that fucking bitch" she had sworn to destroy turned out to be one of her biggest heroes -- as well as the sweetest woman she'd ever met. Buell treated her faithful to tracks from her new album "Hard Love," which arrived Sept. 27 on Niji Entertainment Group with distribution by Red. Among the audience members cheering Buell on was her actress daughter, Liv Tyler, and Showbiz 411 founder Roger Friedman. Taking a breather after the show, from left, are Niji Entertainment Group sales and marketing manager Dean Schachtel, Red senior VP of product development Alan Becker, Buell and Red label manager Luis Alvarenga.
