Nashville's music and entrepreneur worlds met under the vaulted ceilings of the Country Music Hall of Fame lobby on Jan. 17 to celebrate the launch of Artist Growth and be entertained by country legend Cowboy Jack Clement.

Artist Growth has created a suite of cloud-based artist management tools for web and mobile app. Artist Growth does everything from track finances to help artists schedule their daily tasks while on the road. The service costs $4.99 per month. The app is available for iOS and Android.

Developing artists can benefit from the ability to provide a snapshot of financial performance to prospective record labels, chief executive officer Matt Urmy told Billboard before the event. "The higher up they are the more they want data. So you can (use Artist Growth to) quantify how far you've come." Social media data is a first step but doesn't tell the whole story, adds chief administrative officer Jonathan Sexton. "Artist Growth puts it in context."

Mayor Karl Dean started the event by explaining how Artist Growth fits in his vision for a vibrant, creative city. After the four-person Artist Growth staff walked the audience through the mobile app, country legend Cowboy Jack Clement took the stage for a brief performance.

Among those in attendance were Artist Growth's investors, including former chairman of Sony Music Nashville Joe Galante and entrepreneur Mark Montgomery; Jim Zumwalt of Nashville law firm Zumwalt, Almon and Hayes; and artists Vince Gill, Steve Winwood, Buddy Miller and Bill Lloyd.
