VFILES, the app and creative social media site that connects a global youth community, is adding a record label division, called VFILES LOUD!, to their multi-platform content strategy, headed by former Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden.

“I have been a fan of Good Charlotte since the beginning," VFILES Founder Julie Anne Quay told Billboard in an exclusive interview announcing the partnership. "Joel is absolutely a brilliant songwriter and musician and understands VFILES in its truest sense.”

This move, from the fashion to recording industry, makes logical sense for a company like VFILES, one that's already been deeply embedded in music. In the past year alone, the fashion collective launched LIVE at VFILES, an event series including performances by Lil Yachty and Krewella, as well as VFILES runway, which featured performances by Tyga and Sophie Beem.

"I'm excited about the collaboration with MDDN and VFILES," Madden said. "We are truly at the front of finding great new talent and bringing it to the world in the most authentic ways."
