drake vs meek mill twitter beef rap fightThe tracks released by Drake and Meek Mill on the heels of their recent public friction continue to reflect on the Billboard charts. The tweet-spawned beef (which launched July 21) kicked off an online back-and-forth between the rappers and led to Drake dropping “Charged Up” (July 25), propelling it onto the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart (No. 3 debut, chart dated Aug. 8). It falls to No. 5 this week (chart dated Aug. 15).

However, it's Drake's follow-up diss freestyle "Back to Back," (released July 29) that is making waves on-air. U.S. radio grabbed hold of the track, causing it to debut on Rap Airplay at No. 19, taking the top debut and earning Greatest Gainer honors. The song logged 8.1 million audience impressions at the format during the tracking week ending Aug. 2, according to Nielsen Music. The song concurrently arrives on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay at No. 37.

Twitter reactions to the track trigger a No. 3 entrance on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart.

Mill quickly responded to Drake’s taunt by releasing “Wanna Know” (July 30). The song is seeing initial chart reaction on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart, debuting at No. 6. While it made less of a splash, and has yet to cross onto airplay charts, it hovers below Rap Airplay with 1.5 million audience impressions.

Drake's "Back to Back" is expected to impact Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs next week (chart dated Aug. 22), following its release to download stores and streaming outlets (July 31). ("Charged Up" was also released commercially on July 31.)

It is unclear as to whether Mill will commercially release “Wanna Know.”

Over on the Billboard Artist 100, Drake hops 10-6 -- reaching his highest peak since May, while Mill dips 9-7. On the Social 50 chart -- which measures the most popular artists across social networks -- Drake climbs 14-7, powered by 3.9 million Instagram reactions (a 223 percent jump) also adding 390,000 fans on the platform. The rise matches his highest rank, first achieved on the Nov. 8, 2014-dated list.

Drake posted on his Instagram, of him laughing, shortly after Mill released "Wanna Know" -- it was the main source of the increase. 

Meanwhile Meek Mill drops 5-6 on the Social 50, with a 50 percent decrease in Twitter followers (losing 193,000) while adding 1.6 million Twitter mentions.
