Fans got a taste of director Cameron Crowe's music taste in his semi-autobiographical movie, Almost Famous, which follows a young Rolling Stone reporter on the quest for his first feature. Now, thanks to the efforts of Julian Assange, they can get the definitive answers: what are Cameron Crowe's top albums of all time? In an email to Sony Pictures chair Amy Pascal, Crowe listed not his top 10, but his top 23.

In general, Crowe makes safe bets, picking the most lauded albums of the most classic artists (as of 2013...but there are no albums from after 1997 so maybe it's a moot point). Check out his list below.
