Larry David will make a rare public appearance when he sits down for a conversation with fellow comedian David Steinberg, exclusive to Citi cardmembers, on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. PT in the Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The David/Steinberg conversation is the first in a planned series of comedy events for Citi cardmembers, created in partnership with Carolines on Broadway's live entertainment division. Tickets for the event will go on sale Tuesday (July 29) at noon PT at CitiPrivatePass.com.
David has kept a relatively low profile since Curb Your Enthusiasm's eighth and most recent season aired in 2011. His last project was co-writing and starring in the HBO Films original Clear History, though he hasn't ruled out a ninth season of Enthusiasm, telling The Hollywood Reporter, "I'm just an indecisive fella." He also appeared in an episode of Jerry Seinfeld's web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Appropriately, Seinfeld was one of the most recent comedians to partner with Citi on a cardmember event, performing an exclusive stand-up set at New York's Jazz at Lincoln Center last September.
"Larry David and David Steinberg have helped shape a generation of comedy through their timeless work," Jennifer Breithaupt, senior VP of entertainment marketing for Citi, said in a statement. "We're thrilled to kick off this unique comedy series with two of the greats and look forward to bringing Citi cardmembers more laughs in the future."
Editor's note: This post originally reported the start time of the event is 7:30 p.m. PT. It is 7 p.m. PT.
