BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM, 'HIGH HOPES,' OUT 1/14/14

Bruce Springsteen today announced the release of his 18th studio album 'High Hopes,' which is set for release on Jan. 14 on Columbia Records. The album includes members of the E Street Band as well as guitarist Tom Morello and many additional players and was recorded in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Australia and New York City.

ROBERT SILLERMAN ON ROCK IN RIO DEAL (EXCLUSIVE)

Clearly, SFX's festival buying spree is far from over. Last week the growing entertainment conglomerate announced it had finalized its purchase of German promoter i-Motion for some $21 million in cash and stock. Then last Friday (Nov. 22), SFX Ent. announced it had signed an option agreement to acquire a 50 percent interest in a newly formed entity which will own the assets and operation of Rock in Rio, a festival franchise.

Apple Inc has bought Israel-based PrimeSense Ltd, a developer of chips that enable three-dimensional machine vision, the companies said on Monday. An Apple spokesman confirmed the purchase but declined to say how much it spent. Israeli media said it was about $350 million.
