BUSINESS MATTERS: WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO TRACK SALES?

Last week, track sales in the United States totaled 19.8 million units, an incredible 15% lower than the same week in 2012 and the lowest weekly total of 2013. A dip below 20 million units is remarkable. For context, weekly track sales in 2013 have routinely been in the area of 25 million and broke 28 million in February, late March and early April.

BLACK FLAG CO-FOUNDER CAN'T STOP EX-BANDMATES FROM PERFORMING AS 'FLAG'

In August, Black Flag founding guitarist Greg Ginn sued his former bandmates Keith Morris, Dez Cadena, Chuck Dukowski and Bill Stevenson. This latter group was touring as "Flag," which allegedly constituted a violation of alleged rights to "Black Flag" enjoyed by Ginn and his label, SST Records.

TAYLOR SWIFT OPENS $4 MIL. EDUCATION CENTER AT COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM

The pop star opened her $4 million Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Saturday morning, and will accept her record sixth songwriter-artist of the year award from Nashville Songwriters Association International on Sunday.

AUSTIN CITY LIMITS FINAL DAY CANCELED DUE TO HEAVY RAINS

Heavy rain showers and thunderstorms with some flash flooding have canceled the final day of Austin City Limits Music Festival. Organizers posted on the festival's website Sunday that a third of ticket price will be refunded based on original price paid.
